And perhaps most importantly, each company receives a mentor who works with the company one-on-one, something he noted is unique among accelerator programs across the country. The company receives services from Capital Innovators’ partner companies – such as marketing, law and accounting firms. Capital Innovators, based out of the T-Rex co-working space downtown, gives each of the companies $50,000 in exchange for a slice of equity in the company.īut Scott Bernstein, the director of operations for Capital Innovators, said the $50,000 barely touches the surface of what Capital Innovators does for the resident companies. Twice a year, five different startup companies focused in the technology sector are chosen to participate in this accelerator program. Today, his company has partnered with 30 different companies to provide thousands of unfiltered music videos. From there, Reuther co-founded OurVinyl.TV, a site which provides unfiltered acoustic videos of a host of different artists. What changed?
